What is a Landrace?

Landrace is the genetic classification of plants or animals which have adapted/evolved through time, according to the environmental, cultural and traditional factors of a specific area.

In our opinion, Landraces are the original designs of cannabis genetics naturally found on the earth, somewhat like the first plants.

Each landrace variety has its own unique traits and adaptations, making them the key ingredient of modern hybrids.
Only weed available back in the 1950s was landraces, sourced from different parts of the world. And then, those landrace strains were then used for cross breeding and creating hybrids.

Ultimately, landraces are the basic pillars of all modern hybrid strains and its possible today because of the worlds landrace farming communities, who constantly selected the best and durable phenotypes and changed how the "old world feral cannabis" plant looked like. If it weren't for these curious farmers, we believe it would have take us another few centuries to create the modern day ultra resinous, high thc strains we see today.
